June 27, 2017 (Springfield, MA) – A half-day workshop hosted at the UMass Center at Springfield is aimed at helping mid- and upper-level managers, as well as other leaders, enhance their leadership skills. The “Being an Effective Leader” workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 8:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.
“Being a leader means understanding yourself on a human level – far beyond being ‘The Boss’,” said Thom Fox, Chief People Officer of Giombetti Associates and one of the workshop facilitators. He continued, “When you’re whole, you can better provide focus, structure, and direction to your team – all the ingredients they need to succeed!”
The free, three-hour workshop is designed to give participants a blueprint to better understand who they are, and how that shapes their leadership style. During the session attendees will complete a Personal S.W.O.T. Analysis. S.W.O.T. is an acronym for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. The process provides an objective look at undiscovered opportunities and areas for development; thereby, enhancing one’s ability to be the best leader one can be.
“Being an Effective Leader” is installment #6 of the UMass Center’s 12-session Resolutions Within Reach” series. The sessions are designed to help individuals explore opportunities for personal and professional growth.
