The “RiseUp Springfield” program is still accepting applications for courses starting in November. The seven-month intensive, hands-on program is designed to provide small business owners with strategies for long-term growth.
“We’re looking to scale up small businesses here in the city of Springfield, not only to create jobs but to retain them,” said Shayvonne Plummer with the City’s Department of Planning and Economic Development. "We are reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and making final decisions." There are still openings for 5-7 more businesses to apply for the cohort.
The program is a collaboration between the City of Springfield, Interise, the Association of Black Business & Professionals (ABBP), the Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Mass Gaming Commission. RiseUp Springfield is powered by Interise’s StreetWise ‘MBA’™ curriculum, which provides established small business owners with the knowledge and know-how needed to manage long-term growth strategies.
RiseUp Springfield classes start November 14th at the UMass Center. For more information or to apply for the inaugural cohort, please contact Shayvonne Plummer (firstname.lastname@example.org) or visit www.interise.org/RiseUp-Springfield
